Tendify alternatives for defence and dual-use suppliers

Tendify is a low-cost, AI-assisted tender search and pipeline tool built for general public-sector suppliers. If you sell into defence, need NATO agency notices, or want your tender data inside other systems, these are the options worth a trial, and the cases where Tendify is still the right pick.

UPDATED 15 SEP 2026[ WRITTEN BY DEFENSE EXPLORER ]

Short answer

Stay on Tendify if you bid across many European regional portals on a tight budget. Move if defence buyers, NATO agencies or getting data into other tools matter more than portal count.

  1. 01Defense Explorer is the closest fit for defence and dual-use suppliers: NATO/NSPA and national sources filtered to defence-relevant notices, fit scores that show their reasons, and a REST API and MCP server.
  2. 02Tenderlake suits suppliers who sell to the whole public sector across the UK and Europe and want a documented REST API and an AI analyst over MCP.
  3. 03Stotles is the pick for teams selling mainly to UK and Irish government who live in Salesforce or HubSpot.
  4. 04DCI is the established UK defence alerts service, for teams who value a long track record and ISO 27001 over price transparency.
  5. 05No alternative here matches Tendify’s claimed 4,000+ portals at €79–€149 a month with unlimited seats. If breadth per euro is the deciding factor, stay.

Why teams look for alternatives to Tendify

THE EVIDENCE ]

Tendify does a lot for the price. Its pricing page lists €79 a month for up to three countries and €149 a month for unlimited countries, both with unlimited team members and AI usage and a seven-day trial. Its tender briefs reference the document text behind each answer, and its pipeline has owners, comments, @mentions and custom stages. For a general supplier that is a strong package, and the reasons people look elsewhere are mostly about fit rather than quality.

Defence sources. Tendify’s coverage page lists thousands of national and regional portals, but no NATO agency such as the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. There is no defence industry page either. A supplier selling to NSPA, or trying to separate military and dual-use notices from fire engines and hospital consumables, has to do that filtering by hand.

Getting data out. We found no public API, MCP server, CRM or Slack and Teams integration documented. Nor could we find a self-serve export of saved tenders or the pipeline. The terms of service let a customer request a reasonable export within 30 days of termination, and tender documents can be downloaded one by one or in bulk, but there is no button for your pipeline history. Our Tendify export guide covers how to handle that.

Price stability. Both published prices are marked as a limited-time offer, with higher struck-through prices beside them. That is worth planning for if you are budgeting a year ahead.

Assurance. Tendify says its servers are in Belgium and Ireland, which many European buyers will like. We found no published ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification and no independent review listings, which matters to some defence procurement and security teams during vendor onboarding.

The alternatives

05 OPTIONS ]

Ordered for a European defence or dual-use supplier. A general public-sector supplier would order them differently.

  1. 01[ OUR PRODUCT ]

    Defense Explorer

    Best for
Defence and dual-use suppliers selling to EU, UK, NATO and national defence buyers
    Price
Scout free; Analyst €129/month; Team €89 per seat/month (three-seat minimum), excl. VAT
    Defense Explorer vs Tendify

Defense Explorer indexes eight sources, TED, NATO/NSPA, the EU Funding & Tenders portal, TenderNed, UK Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, Spain’s PLACSP and France’s BOAMP, and classifies every notice for defence relevance and clearance evidence, with the reason shown. Each company product line gets a 0–100 fit score that separates reasons, unknowns and hard blockers. Like Tendify, it reads tender documents, but its briefs quote the cited page and downgrade any quote it cannot find to “unknown”. Requirements land in a matrix linked to your approved company evidence, and the capture pipeline records bid/no-bid decisions with their rationale. The main trade-off against Tendify is breadth: eight defence-filtered sources rather than thousands of portals, and Team pricing per seat rather than unlimited seats.

    Strengths
    • +NATO/NSPA plus EU, UK and national sources in one deduplicated, defence-filtered feed
    • +Fit scores that list reasons, unknowns and blockers separately
    • +REST API and MCP server, plus CSV, PDF and XLSX exports
    • +Decisions, evidence and amendments kept on the record
    Watch-outs
    • Eight sources, not thousands of portals: coverage is deliberately narrow and defence-filtered, so general public-sector suppliers selling across every regional portal will find more on a broad aggregator
    • Team plan priced per seat (€89, three-seat minimum), where Tendify includes unlimited seats
    • NCIA (NATO Communications and Information Agency) is not indexed yet: its portal sits behind a browser challenge we do not bypass
    • A young product with no public review-site ratings yet
  2. 02

    Tenderlake

    Best for
Suppliers selling to the whole public sector across the UK and Europe who want an API and an AI analyst
    Price
    UK+IE £325/month (£249/month billed yearly); Europe/UK/Int+ £546/month (£396/month billed yearly); Analyst AI add-on on pay-as-you-go credits; 7-day free trial
    Read our Tenderlake review

Tenderlake is the nearest like-for-like move if what you miss in Tendify is a developer surface. It covers the UK, EU member states, the EEA and development agencies, searches in 24 languages, and matches on capability descriptions rather than keywords. It publishes a REST API with an OpenAPI 3 specification and folder write-back, and its Analyst product is an MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. It costs more than Tendify, priced in pounds, and has no defence classification or NATO agency sources that we could find.

    Strengths
    • +Broad UK and pan-European coverage with 24-language search and translation
    • +Mature developer surface: REST API with OpenAPI 3 and an MCP analyst
    • +Awards history back to 2012 for competitor and renewal analysis
    • +Published pricing and a no-card trial
    Watch-outs
    • Generalist: no defence relevance or clearance classification, no NATO agency sources
    • Priced in GBP, with AI analyst usage billed separately on credits
    • No document-level cited briefs or requirement matrix documented
    • Folder export steps documented only by video
  3. 03

    Stotles

    Best for
Sales and bid teams focused on UK and Irish government, working in a CRM
    Price
Sales Studio: Free, Basic from £75/month, Growth from £475/month, Expert custom. Bid Studio: Free (3 lifetime AI reports), Growth and Expert tiers. Contracts auto-renew unless 45 days’ notice is given
    Read our Stotles review

If your buyers are mostly in the UK and Ireland, Stotles offers far more account intelligence than Tendify: pre-tender signals, expiring contracts, spend, buyer documents and decision-maker contacts, synced to Salesforce or HubSpot. Its Bid Studio adds AI bid/no-bid reports and first drafts. It is not a pan-European tool, and its defence coverage is a UK MOD landing page rather than a defence product.

    Strengths
    • +Deep UK and Ireland data: pre-tender signals, expiring contracts, spend and buyer contacts
    • +Native Salesforce and HubSpot sync, plus Slack
    • +Free tier and published entry prices
    • +MCP connector for mainstream AI assistants on paid plans
    Watch-outs
    • UK and Ireland focus; no NATO agency or continental national portals
    • Defence is a UK MOD keyword page, not a defence product
    • Advanced tiers are custom-priced and contracts auto-renew
    • No documented bulk data export
  4. 04

    DCI

    Best for
UK defence suppliers who want an established, certified alerts service
    Price
Four plans (iconIQ, logIQ, dynamIQ, analytIQ) with 1–5 licences and no published prices; one-year minimum that auto-renews unless cancelled in writing 30 days before renewal; 3-day free trial
    Read our DCI review

DCI has served defence and security suppliers for a long time and draws on MOD eNotice, Contracts Finder, OJEU/TED and US federal feeds, with UK defence spend and framework mapping. It holds ISO 27001 and JOSCAR certification. It publishes no prices, its listed plans are scoped to the UK and Ireland, its AI is limited to summaries, and contracts run for a year and auto-renew.

    Strengths
    • +Decades of defence-specific tender coverage and a recognised UK defence brand
    • +UK MOD sources, defence spend and framework mapping
    • +ISO 27001 and JOSCAR certification
    • +A dedicated success manager on every plan
    Watch-outs
    • No published prices; one-year minimum with auto-renewal
    • No NATO agency sources claimed; listed plans scoped to UK & ROI
    • AI limited to summaries inside the product; no MCP
    • API only on the top plan, without public documentation
  5. 05

    The official portals, used directly

    Best for
Very small teams with a narrow buyer list and time to search by hand
    Price
    Free

Every notice the paid tools index starts life on a public portal. UK buyers publish on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, EU above-threshold notices appear on TED, and NATO’s support agency publishes its opportunities on the NSPA eProcurement portal. If you sell to two or three buyers and already know which portal they use, searching those portals yourself costs nothing. What you give up is one view across them, deduplication, any judgement about fit, and help reading the tender documents.

    Strengths
    • +No licence cost
    • +The notice and documents come straight from the buyer
    • +No dependency on a vendor’s coverage choices
    Watch-outs
    • One portal at a time, each with its own search and account
    • No cross-portal deduplication or fit scoring
    • Easy to miss amendments and deadline changes

How to choose

BEFORE YOU TRIAL ]

Run the same week of real notices through each shortlisted tool rather than comparing feature lists.

  • 01List the ten buyers you most want to win, and check each tool actually indexes the portal they publish on, NSPA included
  • 02Count the notices you had to discard last month; a defence-relevance filter only helps if that number is high
  • 03Ask how a fit score was reached, and whether “unknown” is shown or silently scored
  • 04Open a brief and follow a citation back to the page it came from
  • 05Check how your pipeline, notes and decisions leave the tool if you cancel
  • 06Decide whether you need data in a CRM, warehouse or AI assistant, and test the API or MCP connection during the trial
  • 07Compare the cost for your real team size: unlimited seats and per-seat pricing favour different teams

Moving off Tendify

Tendify documents no self-serve export of your pipeline or saved tenders. Our guide covers what you can download yourself, what to request under the terms, and how to rebuild the pipeline elsewhere without losing decision history.

Questions

06 ANSWERS ]
01

What is the best Tendify alternative for defence companies?

For a European defence or dual-use supplier, Defense Explorer is built for that buyer set: NATO/NSPA plus EU, UK and national sources filtered to defence-relevant notices, and fit scores that show their reasons. For UK-only defence work, DCI is the long-standing specialist.

02

Is there a cheaper alternative to Tendify?

Among paid tools, not really. At €79–€149 a month with unlimited seats, Tendify is one of the lowest-priced options, though its prices are marked as a limited-time offer. Defense Explorer has a free Scout plan, and Stotles has free tiers; the official portals are free to search directly.

03

Does Tendify cover NATO tenders?

Its public coverage page lists no NATO agency sources such as NSPA or NCIA as of 15 September 2026. See our guide to NATO tender monitoring tools.

04

Does Tendify have an API?

We found no public API, MCP server or CRM integration documented. If you need tender data in other systems, Tenderlake and Defense Explorer both document a REST API and an MCP server; Stotles offers native Salesforce and HubSpot sync.

05

Can I export my pipeline from Tendify?

No self-serve pipeline export is documented. The terms allow you to request an export of customer data within 30 days of termination. Our Tendify export guide walks through the options.

06

When should I stay with Tendify?

When you bid across many national and regional European portals in civil sectors, your team is large enough that unlimited seats matter, and you do not need an API or NATO coverage.

HOW THIS WAS WRITTEN ]

Defense Explorer wrote this page, and we sell a product in this category, so read it with that in mind. Competitor details come only from each vendor’s public website, help centre, terms and review listings, checked on 15 September 2026, and every claim links to its source below. We have not used every product under a paid contract. Where we could not verify something we say so rather than guess. Prices and features change: confirm on the vendor’s site before you buy.
