DCI review: the long-standing defence contracts service
DCI, from BiP Solutions in Glasgow, has served defence and security suppliers for decades with tender alerts, frameworks, spend and market intelligence. This review covers its strengths, its plans and terms, and what to check before committing for a year.
The short version

What DCI is
[ COMPANY ]DCI (Defence Contracts International) promises to help suppliers “find, bid and win global defence contracts”. It is part of BiP Solutions Ltd, based at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, which also runs the DPRTE defence procurement event.
DCI’s own pages describe its history differently in different places (40+ years on the homepage, two decades for DCI on the about page), but it is clearly one of the longest-running services in the market.
It targets defence and security suppliers from SME to enterprise, and lists sectors including counter-terrorism, aerospace, cyber, surveillance, border control, coastguard and blue-light services.
Plans are named iconIQ, logIQ, dynamIQ and analytIQ, with one to five licences, all scoped “UK & ROI” on the plans page. An older products page lists different plan names, which suggests the line-up has changed recently.

[ REVIEW PLATFORMS ]There are no independent product reviews of DCI to report. Its Trustpilot profile has no reviews, and we found no listing on G2, Capterra or TrustRadius.
Reviews of BiP Solutions as a company exist, but they do not name DCI and cover BiP’s other services too, so we have not used them to judge this product. References from other defence suppliers, which DCI’s success managers should be able to arrange, are the best substitute.
If you are a defence supplier
[ DEFENCE FIT ]DCI is one of the few tools built for defence, and for a UK-focused supplier its MOD sources, framework data and spend analysis are a real advantage. Its certifications will also reassure security-conscious buyers.
The gaps show up for suppliers working across Europe and NATO. DCI explains NATO and EU defence procurement in its editorial content, but does not claim NSPA or NCIA as data sources, and every listed plan is scoped to the UK and Ireland. AI stops at summaries inside the product, with no MCP connection to an assistant.

DCI does not publish prices. Its four plans, iconIQ, logIQ, dynamIQ and analytIQ, are quoted on request. The terms set a one-year minimum subscription that renews automatically unless cancelled in writing at least 30 days before renewal.
02Does DCI cover NATO tenders?
DCI publishes guidance on NATO and EU defence procurement, but we found no page claiming NATO agencies such as NSPA or NCIA as data sources. Its named feeds are OJEU/TED, MOD eNotice, Contracts Finder, Delta eSourcing and US federal sources.
03Does DCI have an API?
An “Open API” is listed on the analytIQ plan only. We found no public API documentation, and no MCP, CRM or Slack/Teams integration.
04Can I export my data from DCI?
Notices can be printed from the “Print Online” link in alerts, and the frameworks module offers data export without stated formats. Export of saved searches and notes is not documented. See our DCI export guide.

06What is Aria Intelligence?
