Qualification work you can put in front of a client
Bid consultancies and defence market advisers are paid for judgement, and they lose hours to the reading that comes before it. Defense Explorer produces briefs with page citations, correctable requirement matrices and qualification packs that a client can check line by line.
The short version
[ TL;DR ]Defense Explorer suits consultancies that advise European defence and dual-use suppliers on which tenders to pursue and whether they qualify, and want deliverables that stand up to scrutiny.
- 01Cited briefs, a CSV requirements matrix and PDF or XLSX qualification packs make client-ready deliverables.
- 02Match scores explain themselves, so a recommendation to a client carries its reasons.
- 03The REST API and MCP server let you pull notices, matches and pursuits into your own reporting.
- 04A workspace is organised around one company profile with several product lines. If you manage many client companies, talk to us about how to set that up before you buy.
How consultancies use it
[ THE JOB ]A consultancy supporting defence suppliers usually does three things repeatedly: scans the market for opportunities that fit a client, tells the client whether a specific tender is worth pursuing, and helps them respond. Defense Explorer covers the first two thoroughly and hands off to your own process for the third.
Scanning for a client
Matching works from a company profile made of product lines, each with its own keywords, CPV codes, markets and exclusions. Fit is computed per product line and the best line wins, with the runner-up reported. For an adviser that means you can model a client’s portfolio as product lines and see which one each notice fits. See explainable matching.
Advising on a specific tender
The cited brief gives your analyst a head start that is checkable: every claim links to the page and quote. The requirements matrix can be corrected where extraction was wrong, and the corrections persist. The qualification pack, exported as PDF or XLSX, contains the brief summary and the requirement-by-requirement assessment, ready to annotate for a client call.
Reporting in your own format
On the Team plan, the REST API returns opportunities, matches, saved lists, early signals, pursuits and source coverage as JSON, so a weekly client report can be generated rather than assembled. The MCP server lets an analyst ask Claude or another assistant to summarise signals for a market or list decisions on a pursuit, using the same permissions.

Questions
[ 04 ANSWERS ]01Can I manage several client companies in one account?
A workspace is built around one company profile with multiple product lines, and users can belong to company workspaces. We do not advertise a dedicated multi-client console. If you manage several clients, contact us and we will work out the right setup with you.
02Can I give the exports to clients?
Yes. Briefs export as PDF with citations, requirement matrices as CSV and qualification packs as PDF or XLSX. The underlying tender documents remain the buyer’s; the brief always points back to them.
03Do you offer white-labelling?
Not as a product feature. Consultancies that want their own branded reports build them from the REST API.
04How is this different from Tenderlake or Stotles for consultancies?
Both cover broader public-sector markets and both offer AI assistant connectors. Defense Explorer is narrower and defence-specific, and goes further on document-level qualification. See Tenderlake alternatives and Stotles alternatives.
