How to export your data from DCI
DCI documents very little about exporting. Alert notices can be printed from the “Print Online” link, the frameworks module mentions exporting data, and an API is listed on the top plan only. The contract is the bigger issue: a one-year minimum that renews automatically unless you cancel in writing 30 days before renewal.

Export step by step

- STEP 01
Print or save the notices you are working on
In a DCI alert email, click the “Print Online” link to open the individual contract, then print it in the normal way. Printing to PDF from your browser gives you a file you can store.
The official notice and its documents also remain on the buyer’s portal, so record that link as well.
- STEP 02
Export framework data while you have access
The frameworks module offers data export for reporting and bid planning. DCI does not state formats or steps publicly, so ask your success manager to walk through it with you and check the file.
- STEP 03
Use the API if you are on analytIQ
The Open API is listed on the analytIQ plan only, and DCI publishes no documentation for it. Ask for the documentation and your data scope in writing before your notice date, not after.
- STEP 04
Record alert profiles, trackers and pipeline by hand
No export is documented for these. Write down each alert profile’s keywords, regions and categories, and each opportunity you are pursuing with its deadline and owner.

Moving into Defense Explorer

- STEP 01
Start from your inventory, not the old tool’s structure
List the search criteria you relied on in DCI (countries, CPV codes, keywords, value bands), the bids that are live today with their deadlines and owners, and the certificates and references you keep being asked for. That list is what you rebuild; the rest of the export is archive.
We do not advertise a one-click importer from other tender tools. If you are moving a large pipeline, talk to us before you start and we will help you plan it.
- STEP 02
Describe what you sell, per product line
Set up the company profile with one entry per product line or service. Matching then scores each notice 0–100 against that line and lists the reasons, what the notice did not state, and hard blockers such as a missing clearance separately. See explainable matching.
- STEP 03
Recreate your saved searches
Rebuild the searches from your inventory as saved searches, personal or shared with the company. Filters cover source, country, CPV code, value, dates and defence relevance, and they are evaluated on the server so new matches reach the digest. Coverage is TED, NATO/NSPA, EU Funding & Tenders, TenderNed, UK Find a Tender, UK Contracts Finder, Spain’s PLACSP and France’s BOAMP: check tender monitoring against the portals you actually used.
- STEP 04
Put live bids on the pursuit board
Add each live opportunity as a pursuit with a stage, owner, next action and deadline, and record bid or no-bid decisions with their rationale as you make them. See the capture pipeline.

Run both tools until the renewal date
Keep DCI running until your notice period ends and compare what each surfaces for the same weeks. If Defense Explorer misses notices you depend on, you will know before the old contract lapses.
Questions
[ 06 ANSWERS ]01Can I export my DCI alerts to Excel?
DCI does not document a spreadsheet export of alerts. Its FAQ describes printing notices from the “Print Online” link in the alert email. The frameworks module has a data export whose formats are not stated.
02How do I cancel DCI?
Under its terms (version 7, effective 23 July 2026), email cancellations@bipsolutions.com at least 30 days before your renewal date. Subscriptions have a one-year minimum and renew automatically.
03Does DCI have an API?
An “Open API” is listed on the analytIQ plan only. We found no public documentation for it.
04Can I keep the notices I printed from DCI?
The underlying contract notices are public and remain on the buyer’s portal. DCI’s terms restrict copying or exploiting its proprietary materials, such as summaries and analysis. Check with your legal adviser before re-using DCI content. This is not legal advice.
05Does GDPR give me the right to export everything from DCI?
No. The right to data portability in Article 20 of the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) covers personal data you provided, processed by automated means on the basis of consent or a contract. It gets you your user profile and similar personal data in a structured, machine-readable format. It does not cover the vendor’s tender database, its match results or company records that are not personal data. For those, your contract and the product’s own export features decide what you can take. This is not legal advice.
